SMC 203: Christianity and Society Through the Ages

The following paper was written as a research paper for the SMC 203: Christianity and Society Through the Ages course. Students were to pick a topic related to Christian history. With an interest in liturgy, I examined the concept of “full, active, conscious” participation in the Liturgy in light of the Second Vatican Council. I argue in this paper that the concept did not come to the Council and the Church out of the blue, but rather, such concept has been under development throughout Christian history, more so since the Middle Ages.
